WHY INSTALL A RESIDENTIAL SPRINKLER SYSTEM?
Sprinkler Systems are widely recognised as the most effective method for fighting the spread of fire in its early stages. They significantly enhance life safety, reducing injuries by at least 80%.
Beyond life protection, these systems minimise property damage and safeguard possessions by limiting fire spread. Contrary to common portrayals, only the sprinkler heads in the immediate vicinity of the fire activate, containing the fire to its department of origin. Preventing the spread of fire allows ample time for evacuation or for emergency services to arrive, whilst also minimising water damage. The odds of an accidental discharge are approximately 1 in 16 million.
Residential Sprinkler Systems also offer architects greater design flexibility, particularly for open-plan layouts. Modern systems ensure that fire safety is not compromised for aesthetics. These systems can be seamlessly incorporated into new building designs or retrofitted into existing properties.
Residential Sprinkler Systems can serve as a compensatory feature in domestic settings, offering flexibility with other building control obligations.
